EDUCATION
Lauren Drean received a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Brigham Young University.
EXPERIENCE
Lauren has worked in fields of case management, individual, family, couples, and group therapy with a variety of populations. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in two states (Massachusetts and Minnesota) and has 15+ years of experience supporting families in their healing and growth journeys.
CERTIFICATIONS
In addition to her LMFT, Lauren is working toward her sex therapy certification through AASECT. She is versed in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). She is a published research author and has articles featured in the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy and Family Process.
MENTAL HEALTH APPROACH
Lauren knows that often people just get stuck, in behaviors, in relationship patterns, in feelings, in communication and don't know how to move forward. Her goal as a therapist is to help her clients move from a place of being stuck toward healing and progress. She uses insight, self-reflection, education, compassion and laughter to support individuals, couples and families to discover their healing capacity.
CURRENT PRACTICE
Lauren’s clinical interests include: relationships, religion, postpartum recovery, women’s issues, desire discrepancy, LGBTQ+, parenting, intimacy, boundary-setting, anxiety, body image, grief, and sexuality.
She is anti-racist, kink friendly and queer allied.
