Rebecca Ratcliff, MD
“In the context of compassion and vision, healing unfolds.”
EDUCATION
Dr. Rebecca Ratcliff received her Bachelors Degree at Tufts University. She attended Rush University for her Medical Degree, University of New Mexico for her Family Medicine Residency and Maricopa County Health Systems for her Fellowship in inpatient medicine.
While still in Fellowship in 2004, she started training in Indigenous Peruvian Healing practices, or Shamanism, with Alberto Villoldo at the Four Winds. In 2007 she started training with Jose Luis Herrera in the United States and Peru up until the present time. This has given her the opportunity to participate in trainings and ceremonies with indigenous healers of the Andes.
EXPERIENCE
Rebecca is a retired Family Medicine physician and a spiritual healer. During and after her medical training she worked in indigenous villages in Mexico and Peru. Because of her experience working with Traditional Healers, she started training in the Indigenous healing tradition of the Andes in Peru. Rebecca has done Shamanic healing work since 2006, alongside her medical practice. In 2018 she retired from medicine and devoted herself full time to her Shamanic Practice. She works in coordination with referring physicians and therapists in the Twin Cities area.
HEALING APPROACH
In her work, Rebecca speaks to aspects of our spirit and soul, in getting to the root causes of illness. The root cause is often developmental or ancestral trauma and addressing these physical and psychological imprints requires working with the unconscious landscape underlying dis-ease.
Healing is an opportunity to transform dis-ease, whether “mental” or “physical”, into gifts that fuel our growth. In Rebecca ‘s sessions, she creates a sacred container in which one can tap into their own healing potential. It’s a journey that takes us to our essence, what our soul really wants in this lifetime.
CURRENT PRACTICE
Rebecca is an independent contractor at CCH. As a spiritual healer, Rebecca works with people of all ages presenting with a variety of concerns from chronic pain syndromes, to chronic diseases such as post-viral syndromes, chronic pain syndromes and fibromyalgia to psychological presentations of anxiety and depression. In exploring and healing the unconscious root causes of dis-ease, Shamanic healing can complement both psychological and medical therapies, as well as other alternative healing modalities.
