Your psychologist will conduct a thorough clinical interview and administer carefully chosen test instruments to help clarify diagnoses, personality presentations, behaviors, interpersonal skills, relationship styles, and cognitive functioning.
Your provider will then review relevant records, score and interpret the completed psychological tests, and prepare a comprehensive report that will include an explanation of test results, diagnoses, and recommendations for treatment. This report will be provided to the client and/or the referral source. Your provider may choose to schedule a feedback session to review the results of the assessment and answer any questions.

Similar to other mental health services, many insurance plans will cover the cost of a psychological assessment. Clients are responsible for payment of deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance. Some plans require a pre-authorization to be completed prior to the testing to determine if the assessment is considered medically necessary. If required, your provider will complete this before scheduling the assessment. If testing is not covered by your specific plan, or you do not have insurance, you will be responsible for the full cost of the assessment. CCH recommends that all clients call their insurance provider to understand their individual plan benefits, prior to scheduling an assessment.
All testing services are also available via self-pay for anyone who does not wish to submit a claim to their insurance provider.
Some testing services, such as court ordered evaluations, parenting evaluations, and chemical health assessments, will be considered self-pay.
